Dr. Ramirez is an Expert-level practitioner of John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release technique, which he has been practicing for over 13 years. He has taken all of the classes offered through the Myofascial Release Treatment Centers & Seminars, and regularly repeats classes to keep his skills up to date.

He has also taken Visceral Manipulation classes through the Barral Institute, and has apprenticed with various expert-level osteopathic-trained manual therapists. He has achieved positive results in resolving many patients’ symptoms.

In his free time, Dr. Ramirez is an avid fan of Manchester City FC and enjoys watching the “beautiful game.” He has trained in Brasilian jiu-jitsu and capoeira, having seen the best in both arts when he traveled to Brasil. He is also currently enrolled in the Mentorship Program of Sacred Ecstatics with Drs. Bradford and Hillary Keeney.

Subsequent sessions are 55-60 minutes in length.  Accepted forms of payment include cash, checks, and credit/debit/HSA cards (at a 3% processing fee).

Medicare Patients: Meta Physical Therapy is not a Medicare provider and does not file Medicare claims. Per Medicare guidelines patients are NOT allowed to file their own claims. Therefore, anyone on Medicare WILL NOT be able to file claims with Medicare nor their secondary insurance provider.

Your treatment time is set aside and tailored specifically to meet your needs. Please arrive five minutes before your appointment time. Cancellations should be made with 24-hour notice by calling 703-338-7179. Meta Physical Therapy reserves the right to charge the full session fee if less than a 24-hour notice is given.

Cell phones should be silenced before entering the practice to ensure a quiet environment for all patients.

Treatment sessions include a visual assessment of your posture and alignment while standing, as well as manual techniques applied directly on skin. Ideally patients will be dressed to allow the therapist to see what is occurring in the body: males just in loose shorts; females in a sports bra (or similar) and loose shorts.

The success of your treatment is significantly influenced by your participation. Communicate clearly and regularly with your therapist about your goals and progress.
